Who am I?

Hey there! *offers coffee and tea* My name is Anna Knipe, and I am a homeschooled Christian writer! I'm originally from the US, but I have lived in South Africa for over half of my life as a missionary kid. I have three brothers, two adorable dogs named Midnight and Sunshine, and two goldfish named Merry and Pippin after the "Lord of the Rings" characters.

The most important fact about me is that I am a child of the One True God. I accepted Jesus into my heart at the age of 8, and, although I’ve made many mistakes, I strive to fully surrender my life to my Saviour. He is the purpose for my writing and my life. <3

I primarily write medieval fantasy and historical fiction, but recently, I've broadened my writing genres into poetry! If you would like to know more about my WIPs (Works in Progress), I'll be posting about them in the coming future! I have been writing little stories all my life, but only about a year ago did I start being serious about it. As a Christian, I want to glorify Him with my writing, above all else! Because of that, although not all my novels are specifically "Christian" (e.g. my medieval fantasy book), I have biblical themes and morals woven throughout them.

Other hobbies that I have include drawing, painting, playing both the piano and violin, singing, swimming, and reading! A few of my favorite authors include JRR Tolkien (beware, I’ll probably end up quoting him more than I should XD), Melanie Dickerson, Jody Hedlund, Charles Dickens, and Dee Henderson. I also have a love of photography, and I take pictures of nature, scenery, and aesthetic things.
